Unable to see the Dual Boot Context Menu on Startup

I don't like typing everything twice and I know how you forum users love your documentation (me too *Wink)
So, check this out and tell me what you guys think?

Everything is there in that forum thread.. whew. Done. The same as that thread says, if you require any more information, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm a little more savvy (just a little) than your average newbie so be respectful please.

Again, please refer to that link for all of my system specs and other relevant information. They coudn't help me over there and referred me here..

Any and all feedback is appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

    :)

System must start twice to run

    Hi,

What are the options it gives with the Dual Boot window ?

There is a setting in System Configuration (msconfig) BOOT Tab, where you can modify the Boot menu at startup...

Age of Empires 2 The Age of Kings won't work on Win 10.

I have a dual-boot machine with XP-32 (installed first) and W10 (former W7-64). So it is possible to have a dual-boot.

To do it : you have to install XP first, then W7. W7 "installs" a dual-boot menu. Thus you can choose the os you want to start with.

Then you upgrade W7 to W10. You still have the os menu choice at startup.

    Dragonfly,

If you enter the BIOS, in the boot/UEFI section, do you have any option to select Ubuntu instead of Windows?

I am indeed able highlight it. There aren't choices other than highlighting it in the bios. I can see it though.

  6. Dragonfly,

To just be able to highlight the option does not seem right.

*Arrow Just throwing some thoughts at you, haven't dealt with Linux for a very long time. Have you tried changing the boot flag from the Windows loader to the GRUB partition?

*Arrow Also, take a look at the Tutorial that follows. There may be an option there that brings Ubuntu back to the Dual Boot menu:

*Arrow This is out of the W10 league, but you may want to take a look:
