Windows 10: Unable to switch out of S mode

Hi, I am a student teacher and I bought a Windows 10 HP laptop and it is in S mode. I followed all the necessary steps by going to settings>activation however after that it is not the same for me. All it shows is to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro in S mode not Switch out to S mode. When I click the link it takes me to a page to buy a $99.99 dollar bundle to upgrade instead of the page to switch out of S mode. When I look up Switch Out of S Mode on the Microsoft Store, the "Get" button is grey and will not let me click it. I need to get out of S mode to be able to install Zoom because the browser version does not do all of the features. I am very frustrated.

I understand that you are trying to switch out of S mode however, you are unable to switch out of it. We will look into this for you.



Please reply with the following details to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps:

• Do you receive any error code/message?
  
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  

You can try resetting the Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.




You can also try signing out of store and signing in back. If the issue persists, please create a new user account and then try switching out of S mode. Please follow the steps
from the article Create a local user or administrator account in Windows
10 to create a new user account.

Airplane mode switch not working

Since the troubleshooting steps that were provided did not resolve the issue, we suggest switching on the Radio Management Service. To do that, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type services.msc, then hit Enter.
• Search for Radio Management Service.
  
• Right-click, then choose Start.

Note: Never ever set this service to "Disabled".

Get back to us if the steps won't work.
