Windows 10: Unable to take snapshot using webcam 1080P/1536P, Amcap application, Windows 10 -...

I have installed my new webcam 1080P/1536P on my Windows 10 PC. When I choose the option to take a snapshot I get an "unspecified error 0x80004005".


I have followed advice to reinstall the Microsoft camera driver and also to create a new Camera Roll directory

But the error still occurs

It seems that, some of the camera hardware setting got corrupted.



Lets follow the below steps and see if this helps.

Run Hardware and device troubleshooter
:

Hardware troubleshooter reviews, diagnose and identifies operational or technical problems within a hardware device.

• Press Windows Key +R, type Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
  
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
  
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Let us know if the streaming issues with camera is fixed or does it still persist.

 

Webcam suitable for Windows 10

A friend has recommended that I get the Logitech C920 HD Pro USB 1080p Webcam in order to take music lessons remotely via Skype. However, I've seen a few comments online suggesting that this model does not work correctly with Windows 10. Does anyone have
any experience of using this webcam with Windows 10? Can the problems be overcome? Does anyone have alternative suggestions. This will be my first experience of using a webcam.
