    Unable to unistall Eset security


    I had some issues with Eset security software, so I decided to reinstall it. The problem occured when I tried to unistall it.


    I followed steps as per instructions from Eset. I downloaded their uninstall tool, restarted to safe mode and I tried to run it. But it failed.


    When I tried to launch it with regular double click the error message stated "The file cannot be accessed by the system.". So I ran command prompt as administrator and tried to launch it that way. This time the error was "esetunistaller.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or bach file.".


    After this I contacted their support again, sent them some logs and they replied the problem is in Windows and the result of their analysis of the logs were following error messages:


    "Entry" = "DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service WSearch with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:

    I was recommended to try following fix along with advice to contact Microsoft support.

    After I ran the scan and health repair, it seemed all errors were fixed and the result of scans came clear.


    Yet, my original issue with being unable to uninstall the damn Eset security still persists.


    I know this would be fixable by reinstalling whole windows (as clean installs of Eset security on other computers work just fine) but I´m trying to avoid doing that as I don´t really feel comfortable to spend at least half a day to reinstall windows and all the programs and stuff I currently have on my system at the moment as well as not being able to simply remove any particular piece of software for my PC.


    Any ideas how to remove this program at all?
