Windows 10: Unable to update Billing address

Hello,


I was trying to re-purchase the monthly Office 365. Then I get a message that I need to update my billing address. I tried to do that, but it doesn't want me to change the country from the US to Canada. What is going on here?

To update your preferred name and address for billing, shipping or taxes:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.

2. Select Payment & billing > Address book.

3. If you’re updating an existing address, select Edit. If you’re adding a new address, select Add a new address.

4. Select Set as your preferred billing and shipping address > Save.

If you're still not able to do this, it's best to contact the Customer service since they have the tools to change this in case you're not able to do this on your end.

How do I delete outdated addresses from my billing address book?

"Sign in to your Microsoft account. Note: If you see a screen asking you which account you want to use, it means you have two Microsoft accounts associated with the same email address. Get more info about how to Rename your personal account.

Select Payment & billing > Address book.

Unable to verify account as the default billing address is in the US

Hi Bec,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I am sorry to know that you are prompted to add a US billing address.

This issue may occur if the region on the system is not properly set.

I suggest you to change the region on your system.

1. In search tab type "Region" and press enter.

2. In new window select "Administrative"

3. Then click on "change system locale"

4. Select the language.
