  1. Unable to update Windows, can't do a clean boot due to usb devices not connecting

I have a big problem, not sure how it happened but my Windows updates kept failing to install recently. Lately I noticed that any new USB devices I try to connect are not working, and I am unable to download/install the latest Windows updates anymore despite trying every single troubleshooting step available I reset Windows updates, tried to reset Windows which keeps failing.

To make matters worse, I can't do a clean boot from a USB because every time I connect a USB device now it keeps saying the driver is unavailable.

I need an alternate way to clean install Windows 10 or to fix my broken Windows updater that refuses to update.

    Please Help!!!

    :)

Installing windows off of a USB stick

    Step By Step from vista:
    From admin cmd prompt

    1. diskpart
    1a. list disk
    2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
