Windows 10: Unable to upgrade to 10158 from 10130.

I am signed in with my MSA, am an insider, and have all latest patches installed and am also in the fast ring.

Windows Update just won't find 10158.

Many friends of mine on the brazilian Windows 10 Facebook group also are unable to install the new build.

Any ideas?

Well after trying all sorts of methods i found, i'm giving up.

Can't open anything with a left click, aloso many other issues on Build 10122

Right now it is stuck on trying to download 10130

Any help on getting around this and going straight to 10158

windows 10 build 10158

is the build 10158 for the home edition and/or pro edition. I had to download the iso file for build 10130,because of the know issue and went from home to pro edition.

 

This is very strange, in fact it's the first time this ever happened.

Previously, whenever a new build was available, i would be able to download and install it immediatelly.

 

I had to restart my laptop six times before it would install. Not the same as you but strange. Keep trying and good luck to you.

 

The upgrade from 10130 to 10158 went smoothly for me. I just switched from the slow ring to the fast ring and it started downloading and installing right away. Did you happen to check Windows Updates to see if they all installed properly? I remember when I first upgraded to 10130 some of the updates didn't install, but later on they did.

 

I have the same problem updated from 10130 to latest build via fast ring all installed rebooted and just hung tried all sorts now debunked gone back too 10130 will wait for auto update too find me again *Smile

 

for most of us that have already updated to 10158 - the BT folder is still present

is yours after update failure?

 

mine just says 10130 is up to date
tried updating about 15 times
any one got this sorted

Unfortunately the only way i found around this problem is to clean install 10158 from ISO.

Now will upgrade that to the newly released build 10159.

 

From where did you get the ISO for 10158 Build? The latest ISO I see on Download Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO - Microsoft Windows
is Build 10130.

 

Have you done a update try today? New build 10159 dl right now. Some trick going around .... Go to task manager and restart wuupdate service

 

I downloaded a ESD-converted ISO.

 

I tried all sorts of methods... Including restarting the WU service.

And none seemed to solve the issue.
