  1. Unable to use funds in child account

    Hello,

I've recently set up a child account for my daughter and bought minecraft for her. I then attempted to buy her some minecoins. I have added some funds to her account which was a nightmare in itself, but despite this, I am still unable to purchase it.

If I have 'require approval for spending' activated, she has the option of emailling me for permission, but when I click 'Allow' it asks me to add funds, despite there already being enough money in her account for the coins.

If I unselect this option, it just asks her to provide payment information to buy it directly. There seems to be no option actually use the funds in her account.

Is the issue that I am using UK pounds, rather than dollars? I would like to think that they could manage exchenge rates. Especially as when I originally tried to add funds, the only option was dollars, and that required a US address, which obviously, I don't have.

Does anyone know how to actually spend the money in her account on things, or is it more money just wasted, thrown into the bottomless pit that is Microsoft?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    :)
