Windows 10: Unable to use Groove Music and change it as a default program

Music Groove default can not be changed. It does not work and can not be changed.

At every startup of the PC Written no possible to install, we will soon try again.

The issue could be that the system files related to the app are corrupted. We can try some troubleshooting steps and see if the issue is resolved.

Please follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: In-built troubleshooter

We can run the in-built troubleshooter for the store apps and check if the issue gets resolved. Please follow the steps from the article

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2:

You can try the troubleshooting steps from the Troubleshoot Groove player
in Windows 10 and check if the steps help in resolving the issue.

Method 3: Reinstalling Groove Music

If the above methods didn’t resolve the issue, we can try uninstalling Groove Music and reinstall it from Store. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall Groove Music:

1. Press and hold the Windows key + X.
   
2. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
3. Type the command and hit Enter on the keyboard:
   Get-AppxPackage *zunemusic* | Remove-AppxPackage
   
4. Once the process is completed, search for
   Microsoft Store app in search bar.
   
5. Search for Groove Music app in
   Microsoft Store and install it.

Groove Music Unable to Play Music

We'll try a different approach, we suggest that you reinstall Groove Music and see if it has the same issue. Follow the steps below on how to remove and reinstall Groove Music:

• Open Start menu, search for "PowerShell"
• Right-click the PowerShell shortcut and select "Run as administrator". Agree to the UAC prompt.
• Type/Copy paste Get-AppxPackage *zunemusic* | Remove-AppxPackage.
• Once that Groove Music has been uninstalled, launch Windows 10 Store.
• Type/Search for Groove Music and install.
