Windows 10: Unable to view previously viewable pdf

I'm not very tech savvy, so bear with me... Approximately one and a half years ago, important documents were sent to me as attachments. I just noticed that the sender, in another email, directed me to use a certain login credentials in order to view the docs. I don't recall the login field. It is now very important that I print those documents again, but I assume they won't, because when I click to view, a message states, "We are having trouble viewing this file." It also asks me to download the file. I have done that, but these files won't open. Further, I see no place to enter login cred

I use:

• UnityPDF to merge/split PDFs and to insert/extract pages

• doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing

• Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them

Problem viewing & downloading PDF from cable company & AMEX.

Followed your suggestion, but still unable to view or open PDF files from cable company & AMEX. Anything further I can try to solve this problem? Very much appreciate your prior suggestion.
