    UNABLE TO VIEW RAW CAMERA PICTURES


    HI...i have a Dell laptop with windows 10 ...I can download and view JPEG camer pictures

    i an unable however to view the downloaded RAW pictures ...I get a message that the format is not supported


    I have downloaded and ciewed RAW pictures in the past


    please advise on fix

    How to view canon raw files 80D on Windows 10?

    Hi Apetala,

    We would require additional information for better clarity on the issue.

    As these are raw files, they might not be supported on Window Photo Viewer. You may try using Windows 10 Photos App to check if it helps. Further I suggest you to download the utility software for the Canon camera on the computer, which might allow
    you to view and access the raw picture files.

    Hope you are able to access the raw images. Do
    get back in case you need further help.

    How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?


    OK I got this fully working.

    To view only .jpg files in folder containing jpg and camera raw

    1. In File Explorer, navigate to folder containing photos that you wish to view.
    2. In File Explorer, type *.jpg in the search box. You will then see all your jpeg's with the camera raw files absent.
    3. Click on any file in the search results, to start Photo Viewer.

    To view only camera raw (.cr2) files in a folder containing jpg and camera raw

    1. In File Explorer, navigate to folder containing photos that you wish to view.
    2. In File Explorer, type *.cr2 in the search box. You will then see all your camera raw files with the jpeg files absent.
    3. Click on any file in the search results, to start Photo Viewer.


    It really is that simple. No registry edits needed. *chuckle

    UNABLE TO VIEW RAW CAMERA PICTURES

    RAW in Win 10 photo viewer not showing thumbnail pictures

    Recently purchased a Canon Rebel T6s to replace my T3. When I upload my RAW pictures from using the new camera, none of the thumbnails show the picture in the Picture Viewer. Any RAW pictures from my T3 would show up in the Photo Viewer fine.

    Any suggestions on how to make these pictures show up?
