Windows 10: Unattended installation with a Dell Optiplex computer

Hi there,


I'm trying to figure out how to complete an unattended installation of Windows 10 on various Dell Optiplex systems. We do a fresh install of each system when it arrives and as Dell ship computers with a BIOS string and pre-installed OEM image with no license key I'm not sure how to get around this.


I tried an unattended install while leaving the license key blank but that messed everything up, which i thought it would.


Is there a default key or code that can be entered during the answer file setup that can still make the installer pick up that it's an OEM system?


Because of the antiquated LOB apps our clients use, they are still running local servers so can't use Autopilot and Intune for the setup. Unattended installs are really the only way to go for us.


If anyone has some feedback on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Dell Optiplex Clean Install of Windows 10

We have 20 new Dell Optiplex 7020s on the way with Windows 7 preloaded. I'd like to know the steps to perform a clean install of Windows 10.

Dell Dimensions or Optiplex Better?

So I have these two computers, and was going to give one away to someone who needs a computer. In terms of spec I'd say the Dimensions E310 is better than the Optiplex 270. But the optiplex 270 seems to have way more connectivity inside. Basically I want to keep the fastest computer. Here is the specs for the Dell Dimensions E310 and Dell Optiplex GX270. I have installed 2GB memory in the Dimensions E310, and the Optiplex GX270 has 512md memory. Both are pentium 4, but the Optiplex is Celeron and the Dimensions is Pentium 4 HT. Right now the Dimensions is quite speed because of the added 2GB memory and the Optiplex is slow because of the 512mb memory. But if the Optiplex had 2Gb memory would it be faster than the Dimensions. Also the E310 is using SATA for the harddrive and the Gx270 is using IDE.

Which one should I keep?

I have the dell Optiplex works well but sometimes it seems like it freezes up or the HD-STOPS enjoy the system

any suggestions is there anything to turn off always a delay in typing

when i got it it was so fast

should i boot in safe mode what will that tell me?
