Windows 10: Unauthorized changes blocked on windows 10 notification pops up after Office updates

Every time My Office365 gets updates, those updates completes but the "unauthorized changes blocked..." notification pops up for svrhost, msword, etc.

How do I tell Microsoft to trust Microsoft ?

No, I haven't changed anything specifically to have this behaviour. My Windows/Office is up-to-date

Why would we have to set this manually? .

How does this issue effect my Office365 Updates going forward if I leave it as is?

Can I safely ignore this and if the case, how can I mute this?

Windows 10 - up to date

I've been getting these notifications "Unauthorized Changes Blocked" from windows defender for some time now. Ended up getting 9 today which is why I'm posting.

The applications are numerous the ones today are: VSSVC blocked making changes to memory, svchost.exe from making changes to memory,...

Not sure why these are being blocked if part of the system should I fix something?

Using an older program, Paint Shop Pro 7, trying to save a photo to a new location such as the desktop or a library I am not allowed, and get this message.

I am trying to save this file yet the message seems to suggest I am searching for it!

I opened a post a few weeks ago, and my questions were not answered, so I am opening a new post:

The following message briefly pops up several times, then stops for a while, then pops up again:

Unauthorized Changes Blocked

Controlled Folder Access Blocked C:\...

\DDV Data Collector... From Making Changes To Memory"

Someone updated my post with the following reply:

"Its a new feature in Windows 10 1709. For users who might be getting that error, here is how you remove.

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Click Virus & threat protection

Click Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

Toggle it off"

My questions that did not get answered:

1. Is this a "real" problem (something is trying to make unauthorized changes), or is a problem with Windows 10 ?

2. If something is trying to make unauthorized changes, why would I be told to toggle off the "controlled folder access" ?
