Windows 10: Unexplainable System Glitches and Failures

Hello,I am not sure exactly why or what is going on, but over the last couple weeks my system has continually gotten more frustrating to deal with. I am deeply into tech and young, but I cannot figure out what is going on. Problem: All other programs work, but exclusively in the start menu my cursor has been scrolling up/down and only stops when I spam out of the start menu. The same problem happens in the audio selection from the volume icon, restarting or signing out fixes the problem temporarily. Oddly enough, I have not had a single experience of them both happening during the sa

• Were you trying to watch a video when you got the Video TDR Failure error?
• No

After initial glitches on installation machine has run perfectly for about 18 months.

Had similar initial glitches with my other machine. Lost all my programs/apps. Was really impressed. Have been running operating software since MS-DOS on 5.25 floppies. Have never seen anything as bad
as this. Contemplating reinstalling Win 7. Might try replacing video card but there doesn't seem to be any guarantee of that sorting the problem.

System restore failure windows 10

I realize the inconvenience you are facing. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow the below given steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  In Command prompt type
  sfc /scannow and press enter.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  
  If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:
  

• 
  Open command prompt by pressing
  Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
  
• 
  In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
  
  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
  
  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

Nokia X6 - unexplained active connection

oh dear - another unexplained connection established this morning!



i've checked the packet data setting - it was set to "when needed".



I've taken the bold step of deleting "Vodafone internet GPRS" from the list of internet destinations. I now only have wifi connections stored in the internet destinations folder.



I expected therefore to now be unable to connect to the internet via GPRS, and this has indeed happened. I will phone vodafone and get them to resend the GPRS settings via text.



Boring.



In the meantime i know for sure that the phone won't be able to establish any unexplained connections!



the mystery continues though.....



i'll wait a while though - something (an app) may prompt me that it wants to connect to the internet and so i'll hopefully be able to identify the culprit then!
