    Unidentified network after update


    My computer is connected with a mac(with windows ) via ethernet share. And it has been working for over a month. Recently i updated my computer since i was forced to. After the update my ethernet stopped working. I've tried trouble shooting. Reseting pc. Reseting network settings and nothing work. Everything is fine from the mac. Is there anyway to fix this? Thank you

    Hi, Badrobot and thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the issue is still not resolved. The connection still shows as Unidentified and it disconnects frequently.

    I have just hooked two computers together using an Ethernet cable, the first running windows 7 and the second running windows 10. The windows 7 computer shows up as a home network, but the windows 10 is seen as a unidentified public network.
    I try and access the Win 10 comp. and it is denied. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks John
