  1. "Unidentified network". Tried everything

I've had this issue ever since I got the new PC. It's an alright PC and works fine with WiFi. However, I can't seem to get any of my ethernet cables or BT powerline adapters to work

This has been happening for a while, and even continued when we changed from BThub 3 to BThub 5, so I doubt its the router's issue.

If you search "How to fix unidentified network" on the internet, you find videos with a lot of stuff that doesn't work for me. I've tried everything from restarting my PC to, as I said, buying a new router (we didn't buy it to fix the problem, we just decided to get a new one).

    :)

  2. Unidentified Network

I own a HP Pavillion 500 PC. There have been quite a few issues with my ethernet cable in the last month, saying there was an "unidentified network".

However, the last few times, I just unplugged the cable and it fixed itself.

This time it came up with '"Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration', I've tried everything. Here is a list of things I've tried:

    Restarting Router

    Unplugging and replugging the cable.

    Restarting PC

    System Restore

    "netsh" sollution

"ipconfig" sollution (doesn't show a default gateway)

I cannot connect to the default gateway unless you're wondering whether the internet is blocked.

I'm using the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

Please suggest a sollution because really nothing is working for me.

    Unidentified network

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting procedure? Resetting the modem and router? Just unplug and plug back in again. Do it one at a time and start with the modem first.
