    Unidentified Suspicious Program


    Hi,


    I was recently updating my start-up apps and came across an unidentified program simply labeled "Program". I immediately turned it off.


    Any suggestions as to how I can investigate this "program"? Typing Program in the search bar yields too many results. Could not find anything in Control Panel.


    I currently use BitDefender as my AV and keep everything up-to-date.


    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Hi, Badrobot and thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the issue is still not resolved. The connection still shows as Unidentified and it disconnects frequently.

    Have you tried the basic troubleshooting procedure? Resetting the modem and router? Just unplug and plug back in again. Do it one at a time and start with the modem first.
