Windows 10: Uninstalled a Game but Disk Space still occupied

    So i recently uninstalled Forza Horizon 5 from my System because i wasn't playing it anymore and i wanted to install other games on my precious SSD. Firstly i tried to move the games Data to one of my HDDs via Storage sense, but after like 30 mins of waiting, the game was not to be found on the new storage but occupied space on my old AND new storage, so after that i just tried to uninstall it completely, because i still needed space on my SSD, so i did that, but no space was freed up. Now if i go into my explorer it says i have 27.3 GBs free -> but if i mark the entire thing the hidden f

    Windows Store games occupying hard disk space even after uninstalling

    I had 663gb of free space in my windows partition. After installing Froza Motosport 6 Apex, I had 617gb of free hard disk space left. After I uninstalled the game, I had 639gb of free space left. So, why is the game occupying around 24gb even after I uninstalled

    Hi Arpan,

    This issue normally happens if something went wrong on the uninstalling process.

    We suggest that you perform a Disk Cleanup as your workaround this time.

    Please follow the step below:

    • Go to File Explorer.
    • Click This PC.
    • Right click Local Disk.
    • Choose Properties.
    • Click Disk Cleanup.

    [Solved] Disk Space not freed after uninstalling a game on xbox app on windows.

    Hi

    I have a similar issue. I had sunset overdrive installed on my C drive.
    Game was not working, tried to move it to my E drive, but it failed to move. (it took up space on the E drive and C drive kept the same space like the game never moved).

    Uninstalled the game successfully. the space on my C drive and E drive remained unchanged.

    I restarted my pc.

    went to the following folder location:
    C:\Users\Username\Appdata\Local\Packages

    I do not see a sunset overdrive folder.

    How do i free up the disk space from the game i uninstalled?

    it is occupying disk space on two drives after uninstalling it.
