  2. System Icons/Overflow arrow missing from taskbar

    Greetings! I need help! I am running windows 10 pro with updates

    Recently i had to force a restart, now the little overflow arrow on the right side of the taskbar is gone and i am not able to access networking, volume, or any recently opened programs like my VPN. I have tried several fixes listed online, such as turning
    them on and off in the various settings menus. I have tried exiting explorer and restarting it as well as the pc itself several times.

    Basically everything listed here short of the system restore..Fix System icons missing from Windows Taskbar

    any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much for your time! Tony

  3. App won't startAlarm Clock HD app doesn't work, and cant be uninstalled

    I run Windows 10 on a Lenovo G700 Laptop. Recently, I started having problems with Auto-Hiding the taskbar. After browsing in the forum files, I discovered a possible fix, which I implemented. Now, the taskbar Auto-Hides properly, but exactly one of my apps—Alarm
    Clock HD- no longer works. Specifically:

    • The app appears on the Start Menu and the taskbar, but without the clock face icon in either place;

    • When I click on the program to start it, a blank window appears for a few seconds and then disappears without doing anything; and

    • the Alarm Clock HD no longer appears in the Task Manager program list (or, for that matter, the startup list).

    Here are the things I've done, or at least tried to do, up to now:

    • Tried to uninstall the app from the Start Menu—no success;

    • Tried to uninstall the app using several third-party utilities (Revo Uninstaller, Glary Utilities, CCleaner)--the app didn't even show up in their listings;

    • Ran SFC and DISM—no problems found;

    • After much effort (and more than a little luck), I found and ran the Windows 10 App Troubleshooter—no success;

    • Ran MSReset.exe—no success; and

    • Checked the Windows Store for updates for the app, but found none.

    At this point, it looks like I have an almost invisible app—it shows up in the GUI, and nowhere else. I can't run it, and I can't uninstall it (for re-download and installation). If anyboy has any suggestions for future steps, I'd be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.
