Windows 10: Unknown Problems

Hello. I come to this forum to see if anyone has a solution to my problem. I got done playing a round in a game, and the game froze. It's never done that before. I tried to exit out of the window, and my computer wouldn't close it. I then had to restart my computer, and upon doing that I closed out of everything and ran a scan with Malwarebytes. It found a malware in the discord localappdata, and it wouldn't complete the scan. I tried to open up task manager, and it opened but wouldn't respond. I tried to ctrl + alt + delete to restart my computer, but it didn't restart so again I was forced to shut it down with the power button. So here I am, with a task manager that won't open, a file explorer that takes forever to open, if it even does, and a laptop that will only restart a very little amount of times. I can't find solutions to these problems on the internet anywhere, so I came here. And I did delete discord, and it won't re-download. Not to mention that Malwarebytes scanned again and came up empty. Even pressing windows + X to open up file explorer or task manager won't work. But my Google Chrome works just fine, seeing as I'm posting this. I can use Chrome just fine, and probably most other things, besides task manager, file explorer, or restarting/shutting down my computer without need to hold down the power button.

start menu stopped working

Cannot get start menu to pop up. Worked till yesterday, now won't. Turned off computer and back on - still won't work

 

Blue screen after I hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE on an unresponding program.

My Windows ten got the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) after I hit ctrl+alt+delete on an unresponding program which I found weird and creepy.

I would first start with an alternate scanner, like Hitman Pro, just to be sure your infection is totally gone. I would then do Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In Place Upgrade. This will take you to the Creator Update so you are aware before you do.

Before doing this note the manufacture name and driver version for all your network adapters, you may need.

I would also backup all my data off the machine and would even recommend making an Image of your system with a tool like Macrium Reflect. You likely won't need but better prepared than wishing.
