Windows 10: Unknown USB Device failure blocks my internal keyboard.

Hi, I have a problem.

My laptop: Gigabyte Aero x15, bought in December 2018 on Amazon, Windows 10. Couple weeks ago I started having a problem, Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) pop up in Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus controllers though all the physical USB ports in my laptop work fine. I would leave it and live with the problem if it was not one BUT - it blocks my internal keyboard from working! I tried a lot, nothing helps. What I found is in Registry Editor/Local Machine/System/... in USB folder there is a folder with:

DriverDesc REG_SZ Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

InfSection REG_SZ BADDEVICE.Dev.NT

MatchingDeviceld REG_SZ USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE

ProviderName REG_SZ Microsoft

So that provider name pushed me here as it stated Microsoft.

Had a conversation with official Gigabyte support representatives and they suggested me to send my laptop (guessing it will take minimum a month) as they think its a mechanical problem with keyboard but I have doubts as what I learned is that it is definitely a bug between my BIOS, chipset and Windows 10 and it is a software issue though I don't deny that it can be a mechanical fail but did not find any relative themes on internet.
Please help me as I am desperate...

Usb not recognized(unknown device) problem

As above! No usb drive/flash disk,keyboard,mouse on usb ports etc etc but still popping in, on and off tried to new Windows. Tried all solutions on internet but still no joy. Device manager showing unknown device. Motherboard Asus x99 sabertooth. update bios from old to new. no luck

 

X800 GTO2 = Unknown Device

I flashed the BIOS on my X800 GTO2 last night and it is listed in the Device Manager as an Unknown Device. Is this normal?

Thanks for the response but there was not a problem. It was because of me being stupid. I had too much clutter around my PC and I had connected my external drive and thought It was my external storage device. I found out that my some USB connections did
not work on my old laptop. That is why I received the "Unknown device message." Sorry and thank you for the quick response.
