Windows 10: Unlimited Office Professional Plus 2016 for 4$?

I saw a seller on eBay who sells this software saying it's uninstalled from scrap PC's, and sold for about 4$, what do you think? Is it legit? Should I give it a try?

My Office 2016 outlook keeps saying my key code is incorrect, I have been using it for a 1yr what gives?

The product key might be for a different edition of Office 2016.

Press Windows key + X

Click Apps and Features

Scroll down then confirm the edition of Office 2016 installed. Is it Office 2016 Standard, Professional or Professional Plus?

Definitely a scam and it is bullshit about legally selling OEM licences in EU. Only Germany allows some latitude in that area, and even then it does not apply all the time.

Of course at the price, you are hardly taking a bit risk but do not be surprised if it does not work or MS detect a dodgy licence and block it.

 

Agreed.. the key is deeply embedded in O2016... impossible to transfer - they are selling the installation key.

It's semantics but all MS registered products require a key for installation - during installation it uses a default if another is not specified.

Btw, he says he is also sending the broken motherboard from which the OEM key was taken, so perhaps then it's legal?

 

I'm not sure what the MB or OEM key has to do with an Office key? but when you get the key check what type it is... MAK, GVLK or Retail...

 

Be willing to accept that your software may work for awhile and will then potentially stop working.

Instead, I recommend Office 365. Either $69 or $99 a year and you get 1TB or 5TB of cloud storage space with it.

 

My solution was to revert to Office 2007.
One price (paid years ago).
No maintenance fees.
No Microsoft account.
No compatibility issues.
No color-blind themes (Office 2010).
No new, bizarre behaviors (Office 2013/2016).
Happy camper.
(And no $4 scams.)

 

These are keys from DOA machines etc. I've bought a few over the years, the first some 5 years ago for Office 2010. Still working to this day, and it was reactivated after a hiccup when I installed W10.

 

... and no support or security patches after October.
