  1. Unpin from quick access crashes explorer

Basically what the title says, if I unpin a pinned folder from the quick access menu, the explorer window closes abruptly and for a short moment the taskbar is blank; soon after it usually goes back to normal. What could be the problem? I've already Cleared and Restored Defaults in case that was the problem, but it didn't help.

    Quick Access Crashes Explorer

    Hi Bill,

Quick Access is a new feature in Windows 10 File Explorer navigation pane which helps users quickly navigate to locations which are frequently used. However, if you're having issues with Quick Access, you can try to disable and enable it. To disable Quick
    Access, follow these steps:

    • Type File Explorer Option in the search box.
    • Click on File Explorer Options.
    • Under General tab, choose This PC in the Open File Explorer to: drop down menu.
    • Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access and
Show frequently use folders in Quick access.
    • Click Apply an OK.
    • Restart the computer and re-enable Quick access.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested troubleshooting steps.

  3. Can't unpin FTP location from Quick Access

I've pinned an FTP location to the Quick Access menu in Windows 10 Explorer, but now cannot unpin it.

    To replicate:

    1. Browse to an FTP location in Windows Explorer

    2. Right-click "Quick Access"

    3. Select "Pin current folder to Quick access"

    4. Right-click the newly pinned folder

You should see that there is no option to unpin the folder. The context menu only offers the (greyed out) option to "Expand".

Notably, this pin only appears in Explorer and not in the jump lists (for example by right-clicking Explorer from the task bar).

How do I remove this pin?
