Windows 10: Unresponsive app/spinning blue circle.

Would really appreciate any more help with this, it's driving me crazy! *Banghead The spinning wheel is very frequent within Google Chrome and I wonder if Chrome may be the problem. The wheel is spinning briefly on every new tab/web page I load and then a fraction longer even after the page has fully loaded. I don't think that is normal?

 

I have had an issue for the last month or so with an intermittent spinning blue circle appearing during general desktop use. Sometimes it will pop up as much as every minute or so. I started a related thread here a few weeks ago in which Ten forums member zbook picked up on on some other system issues which he felt should be addressed before troubleshooting the spinning circle.

To date those issues which include an in place upgrade repair, replacing multiple misbehaving drivers that had caused BSOD and fixing the drive file system have been completed and zbook is confident the spinning circle troubleshooting can proceed with members that are more experienced in this type of troubleshooting. He suggested that this may be troubleshooted in a clean boot state and that a 3rd party software may be responsible for the spinning circle. I would appreciate any more assistance with this. Thanks.

Spinning blue circle questions

Hi, I know what the spinning blue circle means, but when the Blue spinning circle + Pointer turns into a singular spinning circle does that mean its processing something bigger than average?

Windows 10 constant spinning blue circle next to curser. I can use the cursor as normal, but the blue circle never stop, never blinks. Just spins.

 

I would Run the Windows native troubleshooter. Press the Win Key+R in the Run dialog box, type "Trouble" click on troubleshoot.
Run CCleaner, Malwarebytes, and Malwarebytes Adware to clean up any malware.

Hmm strangely it says Windows cannot find 'trouble' *Confused

 

As far as I know troubleshooting in Windows 10 is run from Settings\Update&Security\Troubleshoot and is category specific...

 

I've limited my clean boot mode to just 1-2 user apps and still have the spinning circle and I am strongly suspecting Google Chrome as being the culprit as there seems to be a pattern when it's open. Maybe it needs a good clean up and reset...
