Unresponsive script with Windows 10. A lot of websites cause this issue, the computer and/or browser go off into busy never never land, and even when I get control back it is slow or goes back to never never land !! I looked up reasons and fixes ands none of them seem to work! This problem wasn't until the later versions of windows, in years gone by it didn't do this! I am really at my wits end with this nightmare! Only way to get around it is, when I use a forum that it happen, don't go back to that website or forum! That's really really bad for people who depend on Win10 to work properly. Does anyone have the real fix? please don't say upgrade drivers, this computer is very new and high performance for gaming. No, it is not overclocked!

    :)

"Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist. "

He did reply saying it was not helpful, and you've not responded.

Were you not glad to respond? Did you lie?

    Hi.
What browser(s) have you had this problem with? What plugins/addons are you using in them? Have you tried disabling the extensions? What fixes have you tried so far? Can you provide some example websites so we can try and duplicate the issue?

I've only ever had this problem using Skype for Business, and I've been on W10 since the early days of Tech Previews from October 2014. When I do have a scripting timeout in Skype for Business, I switch to another browser and the problem is solved.

  5. Hi,

I use Firefox and Chrome as my browsers. I also use Norton as my anti-virus and back up my computers about every two weeks. On the desktop that I use the most, I have a pesky box that pops up on my desktop regarding an unresponsive script.
This happens after I boot up my computer. This box was giving me the options to continue this script, to discontinue the script, or press the "x" in the upper right corner of the box. Regardless of what option I selected, the box would go away for a minute or so and then reappear. Doing a full virus scan with Norton did not find any problems.

The details in the pop up box did provide me with a url:

    https://ubp-common.us.prod.s3.amazon...ire/require.js

Entering this url into either of my browsers resulted in a page of code. I don't know what to look for in the code and don't know how to manipulate the code or what the results would be if I could.

So I hooked up my laptop to my cable modem / router (Netgear) and blocked the url above.

So far the pop up box has not appeared on my desk top.

I get the same script error message when use internet explorer and Edge as you describe ,it goes away eventually for me for most ,it common place for me so I just ignore it ,as the sites will eventually load for me.
I think but could be wrong ,but I think it because the sites have so much junk adds running/loading on them when we click link to go to sites.

the link you poster go nowhere for me, "page not found "
