    Unstable LAN connection

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, but in the desperate search for some help and answers, I hope somebody here can help me.
Google seams hopeless at this point.

I have a server running Windows 10 Pro. All my other devices on my LAN works without any problem.

I don't know where to start diagnosing, since all I know is that the computer looses connection to WAN and gateway about 12% of the time.

Here I have pinged the gateway and and WAN website.

    The server spec:

I noticed that the LAN drivers where "stock" windows, so I downloaded the newest drivers from Asus. They where not new, but thought that maybe drivers from Motherboard manufacture would work a bit better.
They did, until I had to reboot my gateway/modem. Now the problem is back, and can't fix it with re-installing the drivers.

I'm able to be connected to the server via VPN despite the bad connection, but some of the services on the server have trouble keeping the connection, so I have to do something.

I'm kind off clueless what to do next and how to investigate/fix.
    Anyone that could assist me?

    :)

    Good LAN party games?

Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.

I highly suggest that you try these steps instead:

    • Press theWindows
key + X button on your keyboard.

    • Go to
      Control Panel.

    • Select
      Network and Sharing Center.

    • Click on
      Internet options.

    • Choose
      Connections
      tab.

    • Click on
      LAN Settings.

    • Uncheck
Use a Proxy server for your LAN.

    • Click
      Apply, then
      OK.
