  1. Unstable volume slider bar windows 10

I have a persistent and annoying problem (since late 2018) with stability for my volume slider bar (Windows 10). I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q desktop with a Tiny-in-One 24 monitor. I have three Sound items: Tiny-in-One 24, Realtek(R) Audio and Intel(R) Audio. I assume my problem is with the Tiny-in-One 24 item.

When I click on the volume icon on my desktop both the slider bar setting and title (Tiny-in-One 24) on the pop-up screen flicker badly and the volume will not adjust. If I close the pop-up and wait a minute or two it is stabilized and works fine. However, after a period of time when the computer is idle, or when I wake it up to use after overnight, the problem is back. Whenever I Restart my computer it is fine; but it reappears sooner or later.

Here is what I have done about it so far:

    1) Lenovo has installed both a new microphone in the Tiny-in-One monitor and a new mother board. Problem still persists.

    2) Twice, Microsoft level 2 techs have tried to fix it include a Reset (keeping all my files). One said a fix was coming with the July 2019 Windows Update. Indeed, everything was fine for 6 days and then the problem returned.

    3) I have run all the troubleshooters I can find. Problem still persists.

    4) I have reinstalled the Tiny-in-One speaker driver. Problem still persists.

    5) I have tried many other solutions found by Googling. Every time it works initially, but quickly the problem returns as described above.

Is there a fix for this? I am really frustrated.

  2. Windows 10 Volume bar missing

    Hi,

Your concern regarding the missing volume bar when pressing the volume keys can be caused by a sudden change on your device configuration or corrupted/missing driver. To isolate your concern, we'd like to ask the following:

    • Which Windows build version is running on your device? Type
winver in the search box and press Enter to help you identify.
    • Have you made any changes on your device prior to your concern?
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you performed to resolve your concern?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps provided on this support article on how to troubleshoot sound/audio
problems in Windows. The article include steps on how to reinstall the audio driver to rule any adapter issues.

We'll appreciate if you can send us an update.

Windows volume sliders move but no change in volume

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running windows 10. If I change the windows volume sliders either for the application or the system, then No change in volume occurs , except for the mute when I go to zero volume. If I use the in application volume control for Netflix and spottify then I can control the volume. So can anyone suggest anything. In particular I want the dell laptop function keys for volume to work so if there is a way to get the dell laptop keys to control the settings of the application that may be ok.
I have updated every driver and bios update both from windows update and dell
