Windows 10: unsual high cpu usage of regsvr32.exe

hello everyone


I'm having a bit of trouble with this application. Just recently my CPU has been mostly taken up by one instance of the above file continuously running.


Now I have had a look in Task Manager and the following command lines are stated as below:-

"C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe"


these are taking about 50% of my cpu usage


I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out at all with this as I'm not sure what to do about this.

There is a very high CPU usage from the Microsoft(C) Register Server (regsvr32.exe).

Thank you for the update. If in safe mode the problem does not occur and the issue occurs on normal boot, there is a possibility of a third-party program which makes Microsoft Register Server fluctuate into high CPU usage. Can you provide further information
for us to isolate this issue further? Please answer the following questions:

• Are there any programs recently installed on the PC?
• Which programs currently run on your PC when the usage turns high?

To isolate the issue as well, try to turn on the PC and don’t open any programs for a few minutes. Try to check if the CPU usage is still high. If it is, there’s a probability that it is one of the programs running on the background.

High CPU usage from Microsoft(C) Register Server (regsvr32.exe)

Good Afternoon everyone!

I'm having a bit of trouble with this application. Just recently my CPU has been mostly taken up by two instances of the above file continuously running.

Now I have had a look in Task Manager and the following command lines are stated as below:-

S/ "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\DropboxOfficeAddIn64.11.dll"

"C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe" /u /s "C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\recognizers\proto_v10\recognizer_v10.0.1.6258.dll"

These are both taking up between 24% and 26% CPU usage.

There is also another instance of the Microsoft(C) Register Server running but it has "(32 bit)" next to it and the command line is as follows:-

C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe /S "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\DropboxOfficeAddin64.11.dll"

This one is not taking up any CPU usage at all.

Now I have tried closing Dropbox and Comodo Firewall but it's still trying to register those .dll files.

Also to mention, this has been happening all of last night and today so far.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out at all with this as I'm not sure what to do about this.

windows 10.exe high cpu usage

hey

yesterday i found that my cpu usage is so high and windows 10.exe is responsible for it. it uses %60 cpu constantly and when i try to execute, it starts again automatically. i tried windows deffender to scan but it couldnt find any malware etc. also when
i diconnected from internet and killed windows 10.exe from task manager it is not coming back.

i hope you can find a sollution.
