Windows 10: Unsyncing Programs

I have a PC and a laptop both using the same account on windows 10. The issue is that the programs form my PC show up on my laptop and form my laptop to my PC. Only the icons show on my desktop as the programs don't download. My PC is for gaming while my laptop is for my school work and don't want programs downloaded on one platform to show up on other. How do I resolve this issue?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
