    Unwanted Programs Question?.


    Is it okay to uninstall Groove Music, Skype. Houzz etc from the Programs list in Windows 10?. I never use any of them and essentially view them as bloatware. I unchecked them all from the various lists in Settings during install of Win10 but find them installed anyway. No wonder microsoft gets a bad name and pushes people like me towards Linux.

    Hi Melissa, what programs do you want to uninstall - is it the built in apps that come pre-installed in Windows 10?

    If so, download this small utility, which will allow you to remove any or all of those built in apps . . .

    I don't know how it got on your machine, but is described as a "Portable" program, which means it doesn't install...

    It must have launched at one time and activated a setting in the program to "Start With Windows"

    I can only suggest that you open\launch the program and look for an option to uncheck the Start With Windows...

    You also may be able to look in Taskmanager... Startup, and Disable it from starting..

    Then delete it... The file you tried to delete may not be deleting because the program is running in the background...

    Unwanted Programs Question?.

    Yes you can remove those. Just right click and choose uninstall. There are some apps that can't be uninstalled.

    If you're not sure about others, just ask.
