Windows 10: Upcoming Windows 10 Insider build from RTM development branch TH1

If tomorrow is the day when RTM is released, as rumoured, surely that's the more likely day for button-pushing?

 

This is a separate installation. It is on a separate hard drive by itself.

 

insiders wont get rtm to 29th MS has said that in official blogs so not get it early

 

It’s 11pm here; they won’t push the button now it’s too late

 

Might get something real close to it. A Release candidate, kinda a "teaser" RTM!

 

But it's only 3:00 PM in Redmond, Washington, USA. They will probably push the button tomorrow . . . maybe.

But that button push will only be for RTM announcement for OEMs and DVD burners and such, not for us. We'll probably get a new build sometime between now and Friday evening, I think. Could be a Release Candidate or just another build.

 

Yes but I assume that

• the build that will RTM will have passed through the same sort of testing through the various 'Ring's as all the Insider builds so far
• so therefore it would meet the criteria to be passed to Insiders, and also probably isn't that different to 10166
• so why wouldn't we get it at the same time as it's released to manufacturers?

I'm not sure what the point would be of holding it back for another 2 weeks? And therefore not giving us any other builds either (because what would be the point of giving us an earlier build than RTM? And it's unlikely we get a later build than RTM before 29 July).

I guess they will release an interim build quickly if only to check out the new servers

IMHO if we get a build tomorrow it will be the RTM.

Edit: It may be a leaker test. NOT leaked build... testing the mechanics, eyeball the process (MS), wait for feedback... good move...

 

I am surprised OEMs will get the first RTM even before the insiders.
