Windows 10: Update 1903

My update history says the successfully updated to Win 10 1903 on Jul 31, 2019. However nothing has worked since. After trying to uninstall update and 6 1/2 hours on the phone with Costco who called MSFT then put me through to Dell, and then a second hour call with Dell, I am limping along. Edge doesn't open, and I have "invalid value registry" when trying to open PDF files. Every diagnostic has been run and the next step is to reset back to version of time of purchase. Am I the only one with issues with this update?

As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. The steps which you have undertaken to block updates won't work for any feature update. Feature updates need to be blocked temporarily by using different steps.

But, I will suggest that you should not try to stop 1903 feature update. Let it happen.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
