    Update a dual boot Windows 7 32bit to Windows 10 64bit

I currently have 2gb installed and it is expandable upto 8gb (4gb×2).

Is it good to run 64bit windows10 on 2gb ram? Will it be too slow? Or do I need to add more ram before installing 64bit Win10?? What do you guys think about it??

You won't get any benefit from running 64bit on 2 GB of ram, but you probably would not see much slowdown either. In my opinion - if you are going to upgrade ram now or in the future then you will want 64bit - but whether you upgrade the ram first or upgrade to 64bit first is up to you. 32bit Windows 10 will not use the entire 4 GB of ram if you leave 32bit installed - it uses only like 3.7 - 3.8 GB.

Ok. I am planning to upgrade to 64bit first as you are saying it would not be slow. But have to increase ram soon as some of the software I need are not working properly on 2gb...

    Update a dual boot Windows 7 32bit to Windows 10 64bit

I just got a disk in which the files are written like in a data disk.
Can I make a bootable disk by creating the image of this disk, then writing it into another disk as a bootable disk?
There is no "gatherosstate.exe" in the sources folder. can I get it from anywhere in the internet?
Or shall I go for another disk?
Is gatherosstate.exe available on windows10 dvd?

That's the way a Windows 10 bootable DVD will look.

You can, but it will require 3rd party software. Why not just try booting from the DVD and see if it boots?

So, what is this disk that you got and where did you get it from? If it doesn't have gatherosstate.exe in the sources folder then it is likely not a genuine Windows 10 DVD. gatherosstate.exe is in the sources folder of the ISO download of Windows 10 which the DVD gets made from.

yeah, i think i shall go for another disk..
It is not a genuine disk and not a bootable one..
I got it from my friend for free..

Do i need to buy a genuine win10 disk paying money?
Or will a bootable win10 disk works for me to do a free upgrade?

You can download and make your own Windows 10 DVD:
Create Bootable Windows 10 DVD - How To

Note: I don't think Windows 7 has built-in DVD burning capability. I have used IMGBURN in the past:
    The Official ImgBurn Website

You do not want to just copy the ISO file to the DVD. You need to burn the DVD using the ISO file as the image. You should end up with several files and folders on the DVD, including the sources folder.

and now we know the rest of the story.

From a Windows 7 elevated command prompt ("Run as Administrator" Command Prompt), run:
    slmgr /dlv

Post the results here and we can see what's going on. If the results have anything about KMS in them, you can't upgrade to Windows 10 for free.

You should get a result Windows that looks like this:

We are looking for the results of the command run in Windows 7. The result window should look the same, just with different info.
