    Update bricking pc?


    Hello, I need help solving a problem a windows update has created on my pc. I faced a similar issue with the update yesterday and managed to get into windows recovery not entirely sure how. The update seemed to have force removed my amd graphics drivers so I reinstalled them and now tried the update once more and cannot get any display no matter the cable to work. All still in stand by.

    Look in your manual. There's also a motherboard "jumper" that you can use to reset the BIOS to defaults.



    Btw... This looks like the easiest way to Flash your BIOS... you don't have to do step 1, it's already done.

    Here is the location of the jumper: JBAT 1 You should just be able to short the jumper, and wait about 1-2 minutes, to set the BIOS to defaults.

    When resetting the BIOS turn the comp OFF, and the switch on the power supply, OFF. Leave the power supply plugged in. Hold the case power switch IN for about 4 seconds to discharge things like capacitors.
    Then short the jumper or remove the battery.

    gpu bios update failed, gpu bricked

    I would suggest a cheap pci card and ensure you use the correct path where the bricked card is so you dont accidentally flash the pci card
