Windows 10: update from 1909 to 20h2 unsuccesful. HELP?

I tried to play Apex legends and the anti cheat system before the game starts says code 30004 unexpected error waitforsingleobject failed: 2 , google says this is an update fail or something so I tried to update windows --> checked for updates found the 20h2 started to download or it said getting ready idk. at the end said couldn't update [COLOR=rgba51, 51, 51, 1]error 0xc1900223 I checked this google says this may occur if your computer is unable to connect to the Microsoft Update servers or its content delivery network. no vpn or anything that would block it... [/COLOR]

Anyway I used Windows update Assistant it was ok everything disk space etc went through 85% then ready. Restarted my pc then restarted itself for 3-4 times then NOTHING. the SAME 1909 version

Ran troubleshooter couldn't identify the problem of course...

update 20H2 question

I'm running Windows 10 build 1909 and that is running good. Do I REALLY need to update to build 20H2?? I've looked around about 20H2 and can't find a reason that suggests I have to update. Thanks for the help

 

User.000 issue after updating to 1909

I'm one of the many people suffering from issues with user profiles after applying Update 1909 to Windows 10. I've read all the threads I can find on the topic here and have followed the suggestions, all to no avail. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

After applying Update 1909, the ProfileImagePath was changed to c:\users\User.000
One file that was always in use and couldn't be removed was left in c:\users\User (can't recall or find the exact file now), so I could never rename or remove the c:\user\User directory.

I followed the multiple suggestions from Brink and others:

• Rebooted at least 6 times
• Enabled hidden Administrator
• Booted into Safe Mode
• Changed ProfileImagePath
• Tried to rename c:\users\User but couldn't because a file was still in use
• Copied all data from c:\users\User.000 into c:\users\User
• Rebooted and had temporary profile
• Followed steps in Brink tutorial to change ImageProfilePath; rebooted with no change
• Restored using Restore Point from before Update 1909 - returned to single profile state (User.000)
• Removed each update that was installed individually and rebooted after each update removal - profile state never changed
• After all updates were removed, repeated the steps above with hidden Administrator, changing profile, etc. - same issue with file in use in c:\users\User
• Followed all steps above with hidden Administrator but without copying files from User.000 to User - same results

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

 

Updating Win 10 1909 to 20H2 directly, will there be any problems?

Hi, just got a new ssd installed, and my local vendor installed the 1809 version in my system. I updated the software to 1909 but there is no update for ver 2004 under Update and Security in settings. I couldn't find any update assistant of 2004, but the
one for 20H2 is available. Is it fine if I directly upgrade to ver 20H2? Will there be any issue or should I upgrade to 2004?
