Windows 10: Update from Win10 to Win11 via fresh Win11 install possible?

Dear All,my laptop Lenovo T580 is now 6.5 years old and still running with the original Windows installation. Since then I installed and removed numerous tools, programmes, etc. It's getting now slow and buggy, and the fans of the laptop are currently running. So I'd like to have a fresh install.Given that Win10 support runs out rather soon, I thought I'd use the chance to upgrade to Win11. It already offered me the upgrade, but so far I always declined it.Now my question:Because I want a clean install, I would like to delete the old Windows completely format Windows partition. Can I then

Full PC Rebuild. Upgrade to Win11 prior to rebuild or start fresh on Win11 after?

I'm rebuilding my PC (new mobo, cpu, ssd, etc...) and am currently running Win10. Would there be any issue with the digitial license linked to my Microsoft account if I just try installing Win11 fresh on the new build? Or do I need to upgrade to Win11 first so the digital license "upgrades" (if that's a thing), and then do a clean install of Win11 on the new rebuilt system? Or alternately, do a clean install of Win10 on the rebuilt system first and then upgrade to Win11?

If I update from my current Win10 to Win11 as offered, will this affect:

1. any of the program (APPS) that are currently installed?

2. and will it leave all my files unaltered as they are in WIN10?

 

Win10 to Win11 update

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my Windows 10 to Windows 11 via update. However, the Win11 update appears in my update section, but I clicked on stay on Win10 instead, so I am not receiving the Win11 update in the update section.

I have tried different commands and methods, but none of them work.
