Update KB4343909 has broken my internet

    Hello everyone,

Ever since installing KB4343909 I have not been able to get on the internet. Firefox and Chrome do not work at all. Edge, oddly enough, displays my news feed and I am able to click on the news articles and read them. So my internet only works on Edge and only MSN. I can't do anything else.

Every bit of advice I've had has said to download this or that but, of course, I can't download anything because I can't get online.

I have uninstalled KB4343909 but, thanks to MS staggering incompetence, it immediately reinstalls it.

That old chestnut 'unable to automatically detect proxy settings' keeps cropping up along with 'couldn't establish secure connection', 'hmmmm... we're having trouble', 'the connection was reset', 'unable to connect', 'secure connection failed'. I've tried several hours worth of workarounds to fix this joke but my skills are clearly not up to the job.

Has anybody out there got any ideas of howto fix this issue with nointernet connection? Or do I just need to take a sledgehammer to the computer?

    Dominic

    :)

    Hi,

I'm using the windows10 and 08/21 early morning microsoft update package kb4343909 kicked in and restarted the laptop.

After that internet is not working on my laptop. wifi connection shows connected with internet but when I try browsing on IE or Chrome nothing works.

I tried following but no luck:

    1. Restore the windows10 to last restore point.

    2. Removed all the network connections from wifi and added them again.

    3. ipconfig/registerdns

    4. uninstall the kb4343909 update.

Restarted and tried browsing after every above step but issue still exist.

    Please help here.

    Thanks,
