Windows 10: Update KB4464218 will not install on a Microsoft Surface

The above update, KB4464218, will not install on a MS Surface. It has installed on my other Surface devices, but will not on one. Any ideas on how to solve? Error code is 0x8e5e03fa

Hi, again dalchina,

First sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

Here is the results:

1. The screen shot from Partition Wizard. Note: this is the first time I see this 16 MB partition and do not know what that is.

2. This is the task manager Performance and Memory:

4. This is the result of the boot time chdsk (NTFS)




5. Trying SFC /SCANNOW in safe boot returns same error as in the first post.

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:

• Addresses a Microsoft Intune issue that occurs after installing any of the updates released between July 24, 2018 and September 11, 2018. Windows no longer recognizes the Personal Information exchange (PFX) certificate that’s used for authenticating to
  a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. As a result, Microsoft Intune takes a long time to deliver user profiles because it doesn’t recognize that the required certificate is on the device.

If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.
