    Update KB4517389 - 1903 2019-10 fails at 100% install


    Hi all.

    I have been trying to update to preview release 1903 2019-10 on my x64 laptop. Once it reaches install at 100% after download the following error message error is returned:- "Error 0x80073701". Done many times, uninstalled Norton, run system check, run DISM, tried to hide the update but continuosly returns. 230gb free space, 8gb ram. In the update history shows the Feature Updates as 2019-04 1903 installed successfully BUT in quality updates "2019-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4517389) (13) - Failed attempt 0x80073701"

    Does anyone know the reason of the error message and how to overcome it?

    Windows 10 Version 1903 update (KB4517389) failing

    This update keeps failing for tha last couple of weeks. I have retried multiple times but it always fails and giving the same reason as below.
