  1. Update KB5001567

    Greetings,

I just reinstalled my OS. After the reinstall, I did the updates. The last update I did, KB5001567, was optional. After restarting, the system wouldn't go past the POST screen. I used the BIOS boot manager and after getting in, was shown a message that the update could not be completed and that the system was being rolled back.

After getting back in, I went to Update. There was a notice that the update had failed and I could attempt a reinstall. There was an error reference and like a true idiot, I didn't note the number it was 0x800<something>.

I reinstalled the update, the system rebooted and the update completed successfully.

Prior to KB5001567 , I had installed several accumulated updates and after disabling Fast Startup they all went off without issue. What I would like to know, is if I should carry on with the reinstallation, or roll back to a point before the update and leave it out.

    Thanks,

    Graham

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Update KB5001567 :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
