  1. Update message not changing

    I have the message

"Your device is at risk because it’s out of date and missing important security and quality updates. Let’s get you back on track so Windows can run more securely. Select this button to get going:"

When I click on "Check for Updates", it finds none and just re-displays the message. I have run the Troubleshooter umpteen times; it does find some problems and says it has fixed them - but it does not.

I have repeated this over several days and downloaded newer versions from the MS download site to try to force it through, no success.

This AM I found an Update KB4023057 sitting waiting for a restart and I thought finally that will clear this problem - NO. The update was successfully loaded but I still get the above message waiting for me.

Since todays' update went through OK, it looks as if a Flag is stuck - please help me unstick it!

    George
