Windows 10: Update to 1909 Stuck for the Past Two Days

I am updating my laptop from Windows 10 1803 to 1909. For the first couple hours, it made continual progress, but now, for the past 38 hours, it has been stuck at 91%.

The fancy little progress circle is still rotating, and everything is still running, but no progress has been made for a very long time. If I force shutdown my computer, and boot to the UFIC screen, will it throw an error or will I be able to uninstall the update?

The screen I’m stuck on says: “Working on updates: 91% Don’t turn off your PC. This will take a while. Your PC will restart several times.” I mean, I’m a patient guy, but there comes a point where it becomes pretty clear something’s wrong.

I’ve already tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and moving my computer closer to the modem. Any other tips you have for continuing the update or safely canceling it are appreciated.

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary device not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

No you do not need to update to 1809 - 1903 if you are currently on version 1803, then version 1909 will appear in the list of updates and will automatically be installed on your PC since 1803 has run out of support

You do not need to do anything, 1909 is currently spreading around the world, just give it time to appear in the list of pending updates . . .

Hey,

I've just clean installed windows 10. It is build 1803.

Today awesome 1909 have launched. I want to update to 1909 but in settings it is showing me option to upgrade to 1809. My friend told me I have to upgrade to 1809, then 1903 and then finally 1909.

I want to directly upgrade to 1909 without going through intermediate steps. How can I do this?
