Windows 10: Update UWP app

At bootup I keep getting this DOS window that says "Update UWP file?" It slows down my bootup noticeably! I researched this heading and found that the MIcrosoft Store Apps Settings should be Automatically ON. I followed the instructions and discovered thatthis feature is ON and has been on all the time. Now, beyond this What am I required to know?" This is a function that apparently was incorporated into Win 10 as far back as last January. This is a function of Win 10 and should be updated along with the myriad of Windows updates that Redmond pumps out!


I really am upset about this little snafu, as it is something that I should not have to know in order to run a computer. I am in the mortgage business and don't expect my clients to know what a 1003 is or how to order a title or how to compute qualifying scores. This is no different. I have wasted more time than I can afford and that means money gone! I can't wait for the next Microsoft employee to apply for a mortgage!!!! This is not right!

Remove all UWP built in apps in Windows 1903

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The Windows 10 1903 feature update now lets the users to uninstall a few apps using the
Context menu. If you’re on the latest build of Windows 10, it will let you uninstall a few UWP applications using the
Context Menu.





Please find the list of apps that can now be uninstalled using the Context menu below:

• 3D Viewer
• Calculator
• Calendar
• Groove Music
• Mail
• Movies & TV
• Paint 3D
• Snip & Sketch
• Sticky Notes
• Voice Recorder

Cortana is an integral part of Windows and she cannot be entirely turned off. However, if you don’t want Cortana functionality available to you on your taskbar, I would suggest you to follow these steps:
Manage Cortana settings.

UWP app live tiles not working

I did what you suggested, but after a while the tiles went to solid colors again.

i also posted this question in the developer forums, cause it is more appropriate there:

But to give you the asked infos:

• It is a self developed Hosted WebApp
• The Windows is updated, Version in previous post
• The issue started when i first tested the App offline
• The troubleshooting steps are all described in my post
• No Screenshot, cause the app crashes silently, when debugging the Exception comes from the WWAHost
