Windows 10: update virus and spyware definitions

Discus and support update virus and spyware definitions in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I am unable to update my virus and spyware definitions.     I am unable to update my virus and spyware definitions. The update goes partway, then freezes - no matter what I do. any suggestions please?

    I have same problem when trying to update Defender.

    Keep getting the message "Virus and spyware definitions couldn't be updated"

    Any suggestions?

    Updation of Virus & Spyware definitions

    Virus & Spyware definitions didn't update because of an internet or connectivity problem.

    It is showing when I am going to update Virus & Spyware definitions. But there is no problem of connectivity or Internet. Real time protection is on & unable to update Virus & Spyware definitions.

    Please guide to resolve the problem.
