Windows 10: updated Intel HD 630 but Resolution problem

I updated Intel HD graphics 630 because windows said it was anew version. But after I restarted my laptop which native resolution is 1980 x 1080 was stuck at 1366 x 768. under that it was lines and a single line in the middle. i went to the display setting and the resolution was grayed out but 1366 x 768 was the recommended resolution. it wouldn't let me roll back to a previous version either. sometimes it would randomly go back to 1980 x 1080 but there be a block of grey at the bottom idk what to do anymore *Sad

TV resolution problem

1920x1080 is the standard resolution for TV's in full HD.

For us to better assist you, please answer the following questions:

• Have you tried changing the resolution of the monitor through Intel HD Graphics Control Panel?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, go to Intel HD Graphics Control Panel and try changing the resolution to get the best picture and size of the video displayed on your monitor.

Drive 4K resolution with Intel HD 4000 (Windows 10 issue)

I have the exact same problem :-(

However, I was running Windows 7 before and not Linux. I have of course updated with the latest Intel HD 4000 drivers from Intel but it remains the same.

If I ask Windows 10 to list all of the modes that the Intel HD 4000 supports then the highest resolution is 1920x1080. The intel config SW shows that my monitor (not the driver) can go to 4K.

Thus, this requires a driver update from Intel's side before it will work as far as I see it :-(

Hi Anna, I would give it a few days, the issue with Windows 10 version 1803 and Intel HD Graphics 630 is widely reported, Microsoft are aware and hopefully working with Intel on a patch . . .
