Windows 10: Updates not possible, Install error - 0x800703f1

For a while I have been getting the error code Install error - 0x800703f1 when trying to update to the newest updates of Windows 10 (2019-05 and 2019-06). Now that 2019-06 is out the error has changed to 0x8007371c.





I have tried different solutions recommended by Microsoft:

- Running the Windows Update troubleshooter - no change

- Downloading (and installing) the most recent Servicing Stack Update (SSU) - no change


- Downloading (and installing) the most recent KB - no change

- Running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth - no change

- Running sfc /scannow - no change

- Resetting Windows Update components manually - no change


I am quite experienced with Windows and IT in general so don't worry about complicated answers. I have tried many things and none of them worked so far, so I would really appreciate any help!


I am sadly not able to do a clean install of windows as I have important programs and data that should not be removed as of right now.

Further, this problem is quite painful as I have just subscribed to XBOX Gamepass Ultimate and I am not able to utilize the pc option as the installer won't work without the newest update.

Any new suggestions how to fix this never ending error? 0x800703f1

Error 0x800703f1 always fail to update Windows 10

I've upgrade windows 7 home basic to windows 10 on early August 2015 and then get some updates thru windows update, but unfortunately since end of September 2015 until now, I always fail to update Windows 10, the error message
always appear :

"There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

  Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB3116869) - Error 0x800703f1
  
• 
  Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 (KB3087040) - Error 0x800703f1

  Update for Windows 10 (KB3106932) - Error 0x800703f1
  
  note :windows defender update is still working thru windows update
  
  it makes me disappointed, is there Any body can help me?

Windows 10 doesn't download updates and gives me error 0x800703f1


So I'll explain what's wrong. I installed my Windows 10 and everything was going smoothly. It has installed 2 updates from the day I've installed it and everything was ok. Recently updates KB3081448 and KB3081449 came out but it doesn't want to download them. Instead it gives me error 0x800703f1. My drivers are up to date and my PC is clean from viruses. Any ideas on how could I fix this?

EDIT: I also tried installing them manually. It failed after step 2 of the installation...
