Windows 10: Updating from 1703 to 1809.

I have a Surface Pro 4 still on 1703 and have a bunch of updates available to download including a cumulative update for 1703 and Malicious Software Removal Tool along with a Feature Update for 1803 and I was wondering if it was okay for me to bypass them all and install the 1809 update instead using the Update Assistant tool?

After upgrading to 1703 Creators Update, PTC Creo 3.0 users getting Blue Screen

For us to better assist you, please answer the following:

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Aside from upgrading to 1703, have you made any changes prior to the issue?

We also suggest that you try to revert back to the previous update of the Creator's update for the meantime. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings window.
• Click Update and Security, Recovery.
• Select Get Started, under Go Back.

1809 Update Queries


For those who updated please advise:

1. Does the Classic Shell v4.3.1 still work as some have suggested? If not what version of Open Shell is most suitable?
2. Does the update create another recovery partition?
3. Can anyone running MS Money confirm it still works in this update?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
