Windows 10: Updating from Windows 1803 to 20H2

Hi all:

I've got a Toshiba laptop that has been sitting for years because it had become un-useable due to extreme slow performance. Last update was October 2018 - Version 1803. Decided to try to revive it this week. It's working fine now but won't update to 202H. It doesn't crash, it doesn't update.. it seems to be caught in a loop.

I've done some research and I'm guessing it won't update because of the lapse between updates? Do I need to use the ISO or USB Recovery drive now to update this Windows 10 computer to the latest version?

I tried Update Assistant and that failed too..

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Any Office365 users here? Does Outlook (or any Office app for that matter) request activation after each system restart post this Windows 1803 update?

20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

You may uninstall 20H2 using the steps below:
