Windows 10: Updating to Windows10

I have been trying to update my HP Stream laptop to the latest windows 10 update but each time I attempt to do so it will not update due to not having enough of storage to do so, I have pretty much deleted everything off of my laptop in hopes to gain more storage, I have downloaded my photos to a USB device and deleted them off of my laptop. It keeps telling me that I need 8gb of storage before updating but there isn't anything else left for me to delete to gain more storage in order to update, I do not want to delete anything that my computer may need to run properly so I am at a loss right now as to what I should do because I don't know what should be kept on the computer to make it run properly or what else I should try doing in order to gain more storage for the newest update.

To troubleshoot your issue, we suggest doing these following troubleshooting methods:

Method 1

• Turn off your PC.
• Press and hold Shift then turn on your PC.
• Wait for the setup (set up fixes the problem automatically).

Method 2

• Create a media creation tool by following the steps in this
  link.
• Select your preferred installation option and wait for the process to finish.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
