Windows 10: Updating windows 10 to 1903

hello all,

ive recently built a gaming pc and am using win10pro. Im using the update assistant after having many issues trying to g et this update, and finally have got it to work with an external usb drive also being used. It is now on the “working on updates” page, but has been at 0% for an hour and 40 mins now! The small loading circle is still spinning and the drive light on my case is frequently flashing. Is this normal, and should it take this long?

annoyingly im having to leave it on overnight, but will it actually get anywhere, this is an unpredictable matter i understand that, but not sure if a pc person better than me might he aboe to help thanks

it runs windows very well, not sure why update is taking long!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.
